Thursday was the start of the Spoleto Festival in Charleston, SC, the US version of the Italian festival. I usually like to go downtown and wander around the streets and look at the art, street theater, street performers and musicians. I don't often do the ticketed events though, to little cash and to many snobs. Lots of stuff will premiere here, be it theater, music, comedy or other culteral events. To see what fare we'll be having this year go here for the main highfalutin' festival and here for the more family oriented festival, Piccolo Spoleto. I'll at least ride down there tomorrow and wander around to see the free fare, money's all broke and food's going hungry.
